Theodort explores new sounds and draws on the experience of a first successful attempt: the title “Atisuba” (see you tomorrow, in the Dendi dialect of Benin) released during the summer of 2022. This Afrobeats track, with swaying production , is the basis of what will forge the musical identity of “Imad”: a music mix of Afropop, Amapiano (South African House style) Afro-gospel and Fuji – a musical genre born in the 60s within the Yoruba community of Nigeria.
