SYMPHONY
SYMPHONY X was born in April 1994 following the release of the demo "The Dark Chapter" composed by guitarist Michael Romeo. The American band released its first eponymous album that same year, quickly followed by "The Damnation Game" on which the emblematic singer Russel Allen appeared. With the release of "The Divine Wings Of Tragedy" in the fall of 1996, very well received in Europe and praised by the press, the Progressive Metal band made a big leap forward. The combo gave its first highly anticipated concerts following the release of "Twilight In Olympus" in 1998. Their fifth studio album, "V - The New Mythology Suite" took the Americans on a European tour in the fall of 2000. With "The Odyssey" in 2002, SYMPHONY X brought together clearly progressive elements, clear and sharp vocals as well as a more aggressive and Heavy production. With "Paradise Lost" in 2007, the band began a new era and showed its most Metal side as well as a taste for modern sounds, a direction it continued in 2011 with "Iconoclast". "Underworld", the band's ninth album, was released in 2015 by Nuclear Blast. After a break of a few years during which the musicians devoted themselves to their personal projects, SYMPHONY X returned to the forefront with several European and American tours. The bosses of Progressive Metal are celebrating their thirty-year career in 2024!
