At the beginning the band was full of ambition and joie de vivre and started by playing classic rock covers of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac… The band's entry into the music industry was complicated but their musical passion did not disappear! After 2 independent albums, they managed to break through and launched their own label, Toff Records, it was there that the band could now concentrate on their own musical creation and recorded The World (1991), their third album but the band's first with their definitive and unique style. The Windows of Life (1993) drove the point home and Pendragon was finally launched into the world of progressive rock. But it is The Masquerade Overture (1996) which remains to this day their best-selling album in the world (more than 60 copies). The albums have followed one another until today and in 000 Pendragon released The Masquerade 2017, a double live album which echoes The Masquerade Overture released 20 years earlier. Pendragon is still one of the leading groups of the neo-progressive movement and continues to tour regularly in France.
