MYRATH
Myrath, a Franco-Tunisian group formed in 2001, has traveled a musical path punctuated with well-deserved triumphs, moving from the desert to the world. The band created a unique melodic and folkloric heavy metal, fusing influences from their varied cultural backgrounds with conviction and hope. Despite geographic and logistical challenges, their early albums, such as "Hope" (2007) and "Desert Call" (2010), captured the attention of metal fans around the world. Their reputation has strengthened over the years thanks to several world tours and colorful shows such as at Hellfest in 2023.
Recorded in France during the pandemic, their latest album KARMA features powerful power-metal songs with folkloric touches. The production of Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Epica, UDO etc..) helped give the album a punchy quality while preserving all the arrangement details. Lyrically, “Karma” explores meaningful themes, from the struggle with addiction and the horrors of war to the eternal quest for inner peace. Zaher Zorgati, the singer, emphasizes the importance of a glimmer of hope in each song. With “Karma,” Myrath seems revitalized, ready to face the future with enthusiasm and renewed energy. The new songs, designed for live performance, embody the group's Franco-Tunisian identity, demonstrating their ability to overcome obstacles and improve at every stage.
