The Mezerg phenomenon

Originally from Bordeaux, mezerg current is a an unclassifiable artist, at the crossroads of the jazz, electronic music and physical performanceTrained in piano and at the Jazz Conservatory, he invented his own style very early on, the piano-boom-boom, combining keyboard, bass drum and hi-hat.

Spotted thanks to his street performances and his viral videos on social mediahe became known as a true one-man band of the future, using his entire body and atypical instruments such as the Thereminwhich enhances the visual and hypnotic dimension of his shows.

In 2019, his title “Welcome Theremin” This creates a buzz and leads to major stages (Transmusicales, Eurosonic). Covid interrupts his tour, but Mezerg takes advantage of the lockdown to redouble his creativity online, gaining international notoriety.

His first album, “At Mezerg’s”, confirms its success with nearly 10,000 vinyl records sold, symbol of a free, inventive and magnetic artistcapable of filling festivals all over the world without ever being pigeonholed.
