JAY-JAY JOHANSON
On tour: Yes
With constantly renewed inspiration, Jay-Jay signs with "Backstage" what is already his 15th album. We find there what tirelessly constitutes the basefundamentals of his musical universe: jazz,
trip hop, pop and sometimes even a touch of easy listening.
The first single, the soaring "How Long Do You Think We'll Last?", imposes a delicious soulful sound, something that was previously somewhat unheard of among Jay-Jay's first 14 albums. Co-written with his longtime accomplice Erik Jansson, a huge fan of Marvin Gaye, this track with its monotonous chords inspired Jay-Jay to explore sounds that had never been explored before.
