Depuis 2016, Roland Cristal propose des productions de techno Lo-fi où se confondent samples issus de l’internet et voix de son enfance, sur un fond rythmique généralement simple et puissant. Si son univers DIY fait souvent référence à celui de Dimension Bonus (ex Salut c’est cool), certaines sonorités suggèrent l’aspect atonal de Mr. Oizo ou encore l’efficacité froide et épurée de Kraftwerk.
